Movie review of De Pyaar De:
Luv Ranjan is famous for using the misogynistic plot for his movies such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaara Ka Punchnama 2 and SonuK Sweety but De Pyaar De was different from the others.
In De Pyaar De, Aashish (Ajay Devgn) dating with a girl half his age, Aisha (RakulPreetSingh). It’s a full-fledged love affair which has all the trappings of a meet sweet romance and much more. But the problem is he needs to get approval from his ex-wife, Manju (Tabu).
After producing humorous films such as PyaarKaPunchnama, PyaarKaPunchnama2, and SonuKeTittuKiSweety, Luv Ranjan gives the director’s hat to Akiv Ali who creates it an entertaining film. The film offers some excellent comic moments which might be sure to bring down the house. The communication of Ajay Devgn with his family members (Tabu and Alok Nath), the girl fight between Tabu and Rakul Preet will entertain you to the core. Luv Ranjan is famous for humorous and funny dialogues and De Pyaar De gives you some good funny ones that are sure to tickle your funny bones particularly in the second half.
Art direction is good while Cinematography is interesting. Editing is poor and might have been trimmed more. The first half is good but the second half gathers the steam. Musices are just about ok. But when it comes to the performances, Ajay Devgn steals the show once again with his brilliant performance. The actor has just outstanding expressions to emote when he is sandwiched between the Rakul and Tabu catfight. Alok Nath will once again surprise you his witty humor. Tabu is amazing and is definitely win your heart. Rakul Preet looks stunning and does fine but could improve on her expressions. Javed Jaffrey and Jimmy Shergill are good in a small role.
Overall, De Pyaar De is a decently entertaining movie. So, go to your nearest theater and enjoy comic scenes of this movie.
